Yosemite National Park Attractions
Crystal Caves
Crystal Caves is in Sequoia National Park in Three Rivers. Visitors must take a guided tour through the caves. Tickets can be purchased at Foothills or Lodgepole. Crystal Caves is closed between September and mid-May.
El Capitan
This granite wall rests nearly 4,000 feet above Yosemite Valley’s floor. Climbers will enjoy this site in Yosemite National Park.
Glacier Point

Glacier Point is the spot to visit if you want to get a bird’s-eye view of all the sights at Yosemite National Park. Glacier point sits 3,300 feet above the valley floor and is described as having one of the most awe-inspiring overlooks on earth.
Half Dome
In the summer, visitors can climb the backside of Half Dome. It is one of the most famous sites in Yosemite.
Mariposa Grove

Mariposa Grove has a forest of sequoia trees including the famous Grizzly Giant – a sequoia that is nearly 3,000 years old. Mariposa Grove also has Tuolumne Meadows, which has colorful flowers. The grove is in Yosemite National Park.
Muir Woods National Park
This park is named after famed conservationist and Sierra Club founder John Muir. Congressman William Kent and his wife Elizabeth bought 295 acres in 1905. The Kents donated the land to the federal government to protect the area’s redwood forest from logging. Former President Theodore Roosevelt declared the area a national monument in 1908.
Sentinel Rock
Sentinel Rock is a majestic wall that is located near Yosemite Falls. A lot of rock climbers visit this site.
Sequoia National Park

Sequoia National Park has several trees that are named after U.S. generals, such as General Grant Tree and General Sherman Tree. Crystal Caves, Lodgepole Village, and the Trail of Sequoias are also located in the park. Visitors can also enjoy downhill skiing in Badger Pass. Sequoia National Park was named a national park in 1908.
Vernal Fall and Mist Trail
This is a series of sites visitors will see on one of the most popular hikes in Yosemite Valley. Guests will start at Happy Isles and climb Mist Trail along the Merced River to Vernal Fall, which descends 330 feet.
Yosemite Falls

Yosemite Falls, located inside Yosemite National Park, is the fifth-largest waterfall in the world. The best time to see the falls is in spring and early summer when the waters fill the valley with mist and wind. During the winter, the falls create thunder sounds as pieces of ice fall to the earth.
Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad

This railroad ride is located at Yosemite National Park’s south gate on Highway 41. The 4-mile ride is on locomotives that once carried large logs through the Sierra Mountains. The Yosemite Mountain Sugar Mine Railroad winds through the Sierra National Forest.
