Camping (inside Yosemite National Park)

Bridalveil Creek Campground
This campground has 110 campsites that have tent and RV space. Each campsite has a fire ring, a picnic table, and a food storage locker. All campsites are near bathrooms with potable water and flushing toilets. Pets are permitted, except in the group sites. Bridalveil Creek Campground is open from July to early September. All spots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. It is costs $12 a night for each campsite and has a limit of six people.

Camp 4
No RVs are allowed at Camp 4. The spot has 35 campsites with tent and parking space at the campground. There are three food storage lockers available at each campsite. No pets are allowed. Camp 4 is open year-round, but doesn’t accept reservations. It costs $5 a night per person to stay at the campground. Only six people are allowed at each campsite. Camp 4 is on the eastern end of Yosemite National Park.

Crane Flat
Crane Flat is on Big Oak Flat Road nearly 30 minutes north of Yosemite Valley. The spot has 166 campsites with tent and RV space. Each campsite has a fire ring, a picnic table, and a food storage locker. The campsites are also located near a bathroom. Crane Flat is open from June to September, but reservations are required. The cost is $18 per night to accommodate six people per campsite.

Hodgdon Meadow Campground
This campground is 45 minutes north of Yosemite Valley on Big Oak Flat Road. Hodgdon Meadow Campground is open year-round, but guests have to make reservations from mid-April through mid-October. No reservations are required during the remainder of the year. The cost is $18 a night for six people from April through mid-October and $12 per night from mid-October through mid-April. Hodgdon has 105 campsites with tent and RV space. Each campsite offers a fire ring, a picnic table, and a food storage locker. All campsites are near a bathroom with potable water and flushing toilets. Pets are permitted, except in group areas.

Lower Pines
With a rate of $18 per night for six people, Lower Pines is open from March through October. The spot has 60 campsites with tent and RV space. Lower Pines is near Curry Village.

North Pines
North Pines is open from April to September and is near Curry Village. It costs $18 per night to rent one of 81 campsites that have tent and RV space. Guests must make reservations.

Porcupine Flat Campground
Pets are not permitted on the 52 campsites in Porcupine Flat Campground. The site is located on Tioga Road and open from July to September. The campground doesn’t require reservations and it costs $8 a night for each campsite. Porcupine Flat Campground’s sites are equipped with tent and RV space, a fire ring, a picnic table, and a food storage locker. Each campsite is close to a vault toilet, but no potable water is available. Stream water must be boiled, filtered, or treated with iodine.

Tamarack Flat Campground
Tamarack Flat Campground provides fire rings, picnic tables, and food storage lockers, but has only vault toilets. It costs $8 per night to obtain one of the campgrounds 52 campsites, but the sites are available on a first come, first serve basis. Tamarack is open from June to September and pets are not permitted. The campground is on Tioga Road, which is east of Crane Flat.

Tuolumne Meadows Campground
At $18 per night, guests can camp at one of Tuolumne Meadows’ 304 campsites. The campground is open from July through September and reservations are required from July through September. Each of the campsites has tent and RV space, as well as fire rings, picnic tables, and food storage lockers. All campsites are located near bathrooms with potable water and flushing toilets. Showers are also nearby at the Tuolumne Meadows Lodge, but are open only during limited hours. Pets are allowed at this campground, which is located on Tioga Road at Tuolumne Meadows.

Upper Pines
Upper Pines is on the east end of Yosemite Valley and has 238 campsites with tent and RV space. This campground is open year-round, but reservations are required. A maximum of 6 people can stay at Upper Pines for $18 a night.

Wawona Campground
Wawona Campground’s 93 campsites have tent and RV space with fire rings, picnic tables, and food storage lockers. A general store is less than two miles away in the town of Wawona. Reservations are required May through September. The cost is $18 per night between May and September, but is only $12 October through April. Pets are permitted here.

White Wolf Campground
White Wolf Campground, with 75 campgrounds, is located one hour north of Yosemite Valley on Tioga Road. Every campsite has fire rings, picnic tables, and food storage lockers. This site costs $12 per night and is open from July through early September. Reservations aren't available, but pets are permitted here.

Yosemite Creek Campground
For $8 per night, a maximum of six people can stay at Yosemite Creek Campground. The site is on Tioga Road, north of Yosemite Valley. Yosemite Creek Campground has 75 campsites with tent and RV space, but the 5-mile access road isn't suitable for RVs that are more than 24 feet long. Guests should also take plenty of food since the nearest grocery store is 30 minutes away from the campground. Yosemite Creek is open from July through early September and doesn't accept reservations. All campsites have fire rings, picnic tables, and food storage lockers, but don't have flushing toilets. Pets are permitted.
